Rocket Used in "The New Leave It to Beaver" O'Brien developed a model rocket to stand-in for the "skyrocket" the kids would launch. ![]() John O'Brien, a local Orlando rocketeer, was hired to help with the special effects for the episode. The series was filmed in Orlando, Florida. One of the last episodes portrayed the children of "The Beaver" and Eddie Haskell getting into trouble with fireworks. After one season the series was renamed "The New Leave It to Beaver" and moved to TBS.
